This appointment provides a structured review with a dermatology nurse for concerns that fall within the nurse-led service. Where a diagnosis or treatment requires consultant input, the patient can be directed to the appropriate next step.

What the pathway covers

• Review of the concern, current routine and treatment history
• Skin-care, wound-care or treatment support within the nurse’s scope
• Escalation to a consultant or another service when indicated

Before your appointment

• Send or bring relevant letters, results and medication details
• Avoid covering the area with heavy cosmetics before assessment
• Explain any rapid change, systemic symptoms or previous diagnosis when booking
